Flash Drive Contest

Our Free Flash Drive giveaway (FreeFlashDrives.net) has already touched many applicants, and it has made a real difference in the lives of the winners. It seems like nearly everyone has a fantastic new idea or a touching story for us which makes our decision difficult when selecting winners. That being said, we’re proud to announce one of our recent winners: Symeon Robins from the Hinds Agricultural High School. continue

Sheena recently submitted the following, as part of our monthly flash drive giveaway contest:

Our mission is to help unemployed and underemployed people find and keep living wage jobs. Since 1998 Jacob’s Ladder Job Center, Inc. has worked to break the cycle of chronic unemployment through job readiness and related services to Charlotte’s urban poor. Powered by more than 250 volunteers, the program responds to the lengthening economic challenges with strategic training, expanded services, and more resources for the hardest to employ in our community. continue

Christine, an elementary teacher from New York, shared the following story with us in her submission for our Flash Drive Giveaway Contest:

Special education has taken a damaging hit to all students in New York public schools. The media and our own board of education have forgotten about the daily struggles teachers face when trying to reach special student populations. Why would teachers need contracts, raises or even some money for supplies? Isn’t every public school well equipped? Well, the answer is no. continue

In response to our monthly flash drive drawing, Raquel from Canada’s PEI writes,

I am a French Immersion Kindergarten teacher on Prince Edward Island. I teach in a small school and have a class of seven children coming in September. For the longest time, kindergarten teachers have been making scrapbooks with their children each year that contain examples of their work, anecdotal remarks, pictures, songs, etc. continue

Julie, from Owen County Schools in Kentucky, recently entered our Free Flash Drive Contest and shared how she would use the 1 Gb flash drives if she was selected as the winner:

I work in our county’s middle and high schools. My office is the Youth Services Center. We serve students who may need assistance with basic needs. Our goal is to remove non-educational barriers to learning. continue

This summer, CFgear started a flash drive giveaway contest. Each month, we’re randomly selecting a school, sports, church or nonprofit group to receive 25 free customized flash drives.
